Bask in the beauty of Michael Zager’s meditative images of birds and other animals in their native Eastern US habitat.

Michael is the photographer for this website, and for a new booklet that introduces and celebrates the EMERGE values.

In Michael’s framing, buildings, cars, wires, telephone poles, fishing boats and other distractions are mostly invisible. This is on account of angle, lens, and lighting choices.

Still, for the birds and the other beings in these photos, all those things are hazards and hurdles to be negotiated.

Michael’s perspective also prompts us to imagine how other living communities navigate this critical time for the Earth’s climatic systems.

Can we grasp their predicaments and spend some time with each one, holding them in the Light, considering how we might live, mindful of their lives as well as our own?
